The tanto blade with Veff flat top serrations is deployed manually with the thumb stud and engages with a liner lock. The Bivy also includes a Phillips screw driver, a straight screw diver, and an awl to loosen knots. These three tools are also locked and can be disengaged with a central slider on the handle scales.
