The Hvas was designed by Jesper Voxnæs as the centerpiece of a lightweight outdoor pack. Given rough and dirty outdoor jobs, the glass fiber reinforced handle scales and the 1.4116 stainless steel blade can be disassembled easily and without tools by means of CRKT Field Strip Technology. The name (pronounced “Vas”) is simply the old Nordic word for “sharp”. Voxnæs designed the knife as a perfect companion for people who are striving for a simpler way of life.
