The Mahchete has a handle that is offset toward the top for maximum hacking force. The handle has walnut scales with a trailing pommel for a secure grip . Due to its full tang design, the Mahchete has extraordinary strength and the 1075 carbon steel blade contributes its share with a thickness of 4.6 mm. The rustic blade finish is hammered along the face and satin-finished on the edge. This combination almost gives the Mahchete an archaic character.
